Description
Work on the Isles of Scilly this summer!
We require a Receptionist for our luxury 3 AA star Hell Bay Hotel on the island of Bryher which is located in the Isles of Scilly, 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall.
Duties include, taking telephone & email queries and bookings, preparing guest bills including taking payments. Booking flights or ferry to and from the islands including arranging travel insurance if required. Must take detailed information including any special room or dietary requirement and liaise with housekeeping & restaurant staff as to these requirements. Also to assist in general tourist information during the guests stay on the islands and deal with any customer complaints efficiently and professionally.
Working for the Estate, in any of our businesses, is a unique experience. We have great sandy beaches, fantastic views and an exciting opportunity awaits for the successful applicant.
Accommodation is provided for this position which is required from Feb/March until the end of October. Applications from couple are also welcome as we have other positions such as waiting, housekeeping and chefs vacancies within the hotel.
Requirements
You MUST already hold the relevant visa or work permit to legally work in the UK before you apply for this position. We will not consider any applications from candidates who do not already have this right.
Must have excellent customer service skills and be proficient using a computer especially Microsoft office and ability to learn and use the current hotel booking software. Previous experience as a receptionist or similar office environment is essential. The successful applicant must be of smart appearance and wear the appropriate uniform at all times when on duty.
