This is a great opportunity for participants to work side by side with teachers in a school in Ecuador where the main subject required will be English. You will also be able to help with other subjects such as Mathematics, Sports, History etc.
The biggest problem with English classes in Ecuador is that most of the English teachers can’t speak English at all or they might only have some basic knowledge. Their pronunciation is poor so they have a hard time teaching the students. Students often find English too hard and boring and this is where English speaking volunteers can be of great help. They can teach through games and songs etc resulting in the students staying focused and obtain higher results.
