Description

Nannies - We are currently looking for qualified nannies (NNEB, BTEC, NVQ Level 3) to work in our crèches, afternoon childcare or as a private nanny.

Nannies work on a rota basis and have two days off per week.

Crèche Manager positions are also available to oversee the day to day running of the crèche.

Duties include: 

  • Welcoming the newly arrived children (& their parents) on transfer day (Saturday) 
  • Ensuring that children have a safe area to play in and that any necessary safety precautions are in place 
  • Carrying out safety checks on cots and highchairs 
  • Completing a full inventory of toys, games, arts and craft materials at all times 
  • Installing cots and highchairs plus any other requested equipment in chalets 
  • Taking the children out to play in the snow or for trips around the village at least once a day, weather permitting. 
  • Providing children with drinks and light snacks 
  • Clearing away and washing dishes then wiping down surfaces 
  • Changing nappies (at least twice a day, after lunch and before home time), toilet training and putting those children who require a rest to bed 
  • Reporting briefly to parents at the end of the day on what their children have been doing 
  • Keeping good notes, particularly with respect to anything untoward that may have happened during the week. These notes may be reviewed from time to time by the Childcare Manager 
  • Baby-sitting on the evening of the staff day off (Wednesday)

Requirements

  • Childcare qualification - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Knowledge and track record of working with children 3 months to 7 years 
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in childcare 
  • Patience and a sense of humour 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Flexibility
Applicants must hold an EU passport, have a UK National Insurance number and UK bank account. All candidates should be mature and able to prove relevant experience /qualifications.
